“Today in the town of David a savior has been born to you; He is Christ the Lord.” (Luke 2:1)
This month, your child will be learning in their classroom, the true meaning of Christmas! That God gave the ultimate gift, His only son, Jesus, who was born in a stable to a young girl named Mary. This special baby was sent to be the Savior of the world. What a wonderful time to celebrate!
The Christmas season is so full of excitement, the hustle and bustle, lighting of the tree, and hanging of the stockings are cherished times with your children that you will always remember.
These tasks will turn into traditions that will continue throughout the years. So, why not take the opportunity now, while your child is young, to add a new meaningful tradition that your entire family can enjoy together?
How would it feel to see your child giving to another in need? You could put together a Christmas care package and take it to a shelter, pick an ornament from the Tree of Hope in the Atrium, or ask the front office of a family in need that you can drop an anonymous gift off at the church. There are so many ways that you could help or bless another this season. It’s the perfect opportunity to give your child the experience of Christmas.
I encourage you to embrace the old traditions and enjoy the new ones. You will be truly blessed as you watch your child live out kindness and love with a pure unselfish heart.
And as always, if you feel you would like to know more about the wonderful gift that is given to us in the form of God’s Son, please, just let any of our staff know. We would love the opportunity to tell you more.
On behalf of the KHP staff,
We want to wish you and your family a blessed Christmas and New Year.
